Robinia wood for Ziegler playground equipment
The "tropical wood" of Europe
Our playground equipment is made of robust robinia wood, as it is best suited for outdoor use.
Sapwood-free heartwood
We only use sapwood-free heartwood. The bark and sapwood are removed manually in our factory before processing into playground equipment.
Advantages of heartwood:
- durable construction durability
- natural finish (without glaze) creates a natural, silvery patina
- brilliant colour application on the heartwood
No wood preservation necessary
Robinia wood gets a silvery patina without stain, which gradually becomes darker. Especially where water reacts with the wood's own tannic acid. Temporary "water stains" appear, but these soon disappear again. Finally, the wood is given a natural silvery coating to match the rustic shape, which we retain as a standard variant on all our playground equipment. Thanks to its resistance, it is maintenance-free and does not require any additional protection from wood preservatives or varnishes.

Stainless steel
All metal elements such as slides, joints and accessories are made of high-quality stainless steel and are therefore rust-free, durable and environmentally friendly.
High-quality rope connections
Whether for climbing, balancing or swinging - ropes are a central element of many play equipment.
We use Hercules rope for rope connections. Our product range includes a large selection of high-quality ropes that have been specially developed for outdoor use. Each piece of rope is individually manufactured and customised to fit the respective play equipment. This results in durable and safe solutions that perfectly combine fun and functionality.
